Prospective Knight Science Journalism fellows, take notice: The application deadline for the 2020-21 fellowship class will be January 15th, 2020 — earlier than in previous years. Applicants may begin submitting their materials through KSJ’s online portal beginning November 15th, 2019.
The KSJ Fellowship Program supports a global community of dedicated and thoughtful journalists specializing in science, health, technology and environmental reporting. Fellows receive a $70,000 stipend plus benefits and must reside full-time in the Boston/Cambridge area for the MIT academic year. The fellowship is designed to recognize journalists who demonstrate a high level of professional excellence and accomplishment as well as a long-term commitment to their craft.
Journalists from all countries compete on an equal basis and are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be prepared to submit a professional autobiography, a résumé or curriculum vitae, a research proposal, five relevant work samples, and three letters of recommendation.
