Seminar: MIT Press and the Science of the Book Proposal

KSJ is pleased to welcome three representatives from MIT press for a seminar about creating a successful book proposal.

They will speak about their recent successful acquisitions and what kind of proposals they are looking for. They will also give tips for what does and does not make a successful book, the importance of table of contents and chapter abstracts, and how considering potential media talking points can help structure the project’s narrative arc.
