The Knight Science Journalism Program at MIT is excited to welcome Kate Quinn, MFA, AFAAR for a seminar on the complex problem of human remains in museum collections.

This seminar will examine how museums steward human remains and scientific specimens, and why these collections raise some of the most complex ethical questions in public history today. Through real-world cases and institutional insight, the discussion will explore how museums make decisions, balance evidence and accountability, and earn public trust in an era of heightened scrutiny.

Please contact Learning and Events Coordinator Claire Sadar if you are interested in attending.
