Bio:
Roberta Kwok is a freelance science writer who has contributed to NewYorker.com, NYTimes.com, The Southern Review, Audubon, Aeon, New Scientist, the San Francisco Chronicle, U.S. News & World Report, and other publications. She earned a BSc in biology from Stanford University, an MFA in fiction writing from Indiana University Bloomington, and a graduate certificate in science communication from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her stories have won journalism awards from the American Association for the Advancement of Science and American Geophysical Union, and her flash essay "Click" was anthologized in The Best Small Fictions 2019. Kwok has taught profile writing at UC Santa Cruz’s science communication master’s program and freelance business management at the workshops Courage Camp and Level Up.
