Bio:
Molly Segal is a reporter, producer, and documentary-maker, whose work focuses on climate change, environment, and science stories for radio and podcasts. These days, you'll hear Molly's name on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's radio program, What On Earth, examining climate solutions. Always ready for a reporting adventure, Molly's toolkit includes bear spray and binoculars along with microphones and a recorder. Her long-form audio work takes her up in helicopters over remote mountain tops, to the side of scree slopes looking for fossils, or riding along with scientists capturing grizzlies. As a 2019-2020 MIT Knight Science Journalism Fellow, she researched how people relate to large, toothy animals. She has given talks about field reporting to universities in Canada, the U.S., and Germany. When she's not recording a story, you can likely find Molly out exploring the mountains.
