Bio:
Julia Rosen is an award-winning journalist covering science and the environment from Portland, Oregon. She writes about how the world works and how humans are changing it. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, The New York Times, Scientific American, Science, High Country News, and many other publications. Her feature story about invasive earthworms was anthologized in the Best American Science and Nature Writing 2021 and her history of phosphorus is included in the Best American Science and Nature Writing 2022. She is a former science reporter for The Los Angeles Times and has a PhD in geology.
