Bio: Ashley Belanger is an investigative science journalist whose reporting tracks how science informs social policy. Her reporting on pandemic conditions at Florida domestic violence centers was funded by the National Geographic Society. Her reporting on policy decisions on child marriage, gun control, adult group homes, nursing homes, and prisons has appeared in outlets like Teen Vogue, GBH News, and The Boston Globe. She is a graduate of MIT's Graduate Program in Science Writing. During her time at MIT, she served as intern for GBH News Center for Investigative Reporting and as research assistant for Knight Science Journalism's Undark Magazine, the food science and history podcast Gastropod, and MIT School of Engineering.
