These days I multi-task. I'm helping to write and edit Life on Earth, the digital-only high school biology textbook being developed by the EO Wilson Biodiversity Foundation. I feel fortunate to be working (as a senior editor) with a talented group of people who are trying to re-imagine a science textbook. I continue to create Sightings, the science visualization column featured in American Scientist magazine, where I worked for three years after finishing my Knight fellowship in 2008. I also do a bit of freelance writing and editing.
