Karen Brown

Karen Brown is a health reporter and radio documentary producer at New England Public Radio in Western Massachusetts. She specializes in mental health, trauma and the brain, and child psychology. Her work has appeared on National Public Radio, Marketplace, American RadioWorks, and other national programs. She has written for magazines and newspapers, including the Washington Post, Boston Globe and Philadelphia Inquirer. She was a Kaiser Media Fellow and Rosalyn Carter Fellow in Mental Health Journalism. Her national awards include the Daniel Schorr Journalism Prize, Edward R. Murrow Award, Dart Award for Reporting on Trauma, and Excellence in Healthcare Journalism Award.
