Your tracker must confess to getting so involved in sorting out coverage of two X-ray satellites and the events behind the similar birds with different fates, that time was about gone before confronting the usual Tuesday pleasure of reading through and assessing the day's ScienceTimes. But two are delightful to anybody, one short and one longish.
- Sindya N. Bhanoo: A Colorful Crustacean With a Knockout Punch ; Terrific, on target, and compact just like a good jab. Her other Observatory roundup items are swell too: For Mosquitoes, Rain Isn't a Flight Hazard and Now You See It, Now It's Swung Out of Sight (on roaches).
- Peter Pringle: Notebooks Shed Light on an Antibiotic's Contested Discovery ;
